Immigration evaluations
There are times when a psychosocial evaluation is helpful in order to move forward with immigration proceedings. I offer psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases, which are often used in the following situations:
- Waivers (I-601 and I-601A)
- Cancellation of Removal
- VAWA and Spousal Abuse
- U-Visas
- Asylum, Withholding of Removal and Convention Against Torture
I strive to create a compassionate and caring environment for clients. My approach is to work closely with attorneys and their clients to provide a thorough and efficient evaluation process in a safe and welcoming environment. For Spanish-speaking clients, I offer therapy in Spanish and I offer evening and weekend appointments and a quick turnaround time.
The evaluation consists of an in-person interview followed by several scales (questionnaires) to assess a client’s current symptoms. Results from the scales are integrated into the narrative from the interview. A report is then drafted and sent confidentially to the attorney. Once they approve the final draft, a final report is mailed to the attorney handling your case.
Fees
The fee for an immigration evaluation is $1,200. Payment plans are available.
